In the discussion on the PUG, you will find links to the start-up instructions and how to connect to the Printeer over the WiFi. Now that we have these instructions, everything seems pretty straightforward to me. […]

Just found out about this excellent travel opportunity WWOOF.net World Wide Opportunites on Organic Farms “Linking volunteers with organic farms and growers.”

There is an alternative organization that compensates you for work. Though I’ve met plenty of people who liked their WWOOFing experiences.

I WWOOFed with a family in Slovenia. It was really awesome, especially because WWOOF in Slovenia (and several other countries!) is free. In my case, I traded apple-processing / cooking / basic German-tutoring for a place to stay / meals / basic Slovenian lessons / the chance to hang out with local folks in Litija. Really glad I did it 🙂

I’m so excited that the students started a business. One of the aspirations I have for the ALC is that we keep our eyes wide open to entrepreneurship opportunities. I have been looking and there is a real need for providing entrepreneurship education for school-age kids. Now we have it. This can be an attractor to bring more students to our ALC.

Hello ALC World! Nick and I just started with the Everett ALC on Wednesday. We are so excited to be in on the ground floor of this wonderful educational opportunity.

The group developed so many great ideas yesterday for things we wish to accomplish, not the least of which is developing a makerspace and opening it for access to the wider community.

I think it is a great idea. Additional info: We started with Stellar’s Jay and deliberately tried to get to tilapia, and went from there to fungus. So we combined WT with “Word Golf.”
