Tell us a bit about your story and where you are in your process of starting a self-directed learning community.

Humanitas High School Ltd. is a not for profit, and charitable, organisation, with the purpose of running a high school that is:
– Student driven, democratic and project focused
– Passionately committed to learning and student well-being
– Actively connected to the community
– Fostering lifelong participation in learning and the community
– A joyful place to learn, connect and work

We are operating in Brisbane Australia, and are opening our high school in 2021.

Why do you want to be an ALC Member?

Several of our founders are very interested in, and have been inspired and appreciate the work of ALC member schools.

Which aspect(s) of ALC membership are most appealing to you and what kind of support do you desire/need?

– Community connection with like minded schools.
– Quality resources to support democratic / student driven education.
